Author Guidelines

The journal "Vestnik of Samara State University of Economics" accepts previously unpublished works that correspond to the journal's scientific focus (economic sciences) and meet the formatting requirements.

The editorial board accepts articles with a maximum length of 24 pages (in Times New Roman font, size 14pt, 1.5 line spacing), i.e., no more than 40,000 characters (including spaces). Articles are accepted only in electronic form. The article file must be in *.doc format.

The editorial board does not accept articles published or under consideration in other publications; nor articles whose formatting does not comply with the requirements listed below.

All submitted articles undergo mandatory plagiarism check. The originality of the text must be at least 80%.

Articles are accepted in the following sections:

  • Economic Theory
  • World Economy
  • Regional and Sectoral Economics
  • Management and Business Administration
  • Finance, Monetary Circulation and Credit
  • Mathematical, Statistical and Instrumental Methods in Economics

The article submitted for publication must comply with the generally accepted structure of a scientific article.

ARTICLE INFORMATION IN RUSSIAN. TO BE PROVIDED BEFORE THE MAIN TEXT:

Article Title:

Length: 10-12 words.

Must contain main keywords; the use of abbreviations and formulas is not allowed.

Author Information:

Contains full name and affiliations of the authors.

The order of authors depends on their contribution to the work.

Affiliation must include organization, city, and country.

The organization's name (in Russian/English) must match the name in its Charter.

When transliterating names, the author must maintain consistent spelling across all articles.

Abstract:

Length: 150-250 words.

Reflects the relevance of the research topic, problem statement, research objectives, research methods, results, and key conclusions.

Keywords:

Length: 8-10 words and phrases.

Reflect the specifics of the topic, the object, and the results of the research.

Highlights (Main Findings):

Contains 3-5 bullet points briefly reflecting the key research results.

ARTICLE STRUCTURE:

Introduction:

Presents the relevance of the research topic, a literature review on the subject, the research problem statement, and the formulation of the research aim and objectives.

Methods:

Describe in detail the methods and design of experiments/observations, allowing their results to be reproduced using only the text of the article.

Describe materials, instruments, equipment, and other conditions of the experiments/observations.

Results:
Presents the factual results of the research (text, tables, figures, formulas).

Discussion:
Contains the interpretation of the obtained research results, including:

correspondence of the obtained results to the research hypothesis;

limitations of the study and generalization of its results;

suggestions for practical application;

novelty / scientific contribution of the author.

Conclusion:
Contains a brief summary of the article's sections without repeating the exact wording from them.

Acknowledgments (if necessary):
The author expresses:

appreciation to colleagues for their assistance;

gratitude for financial support of the research.

List of References:
Contains only the sources used in the preparation of the article, formatted according to the standard adopted by the publisher, referencing GOST R 7.0.5-2008.

The article must comply with the formatting rules provided below.

Article Formatting Rules

Article materials must be submitted in Microsoft Word.

The article must contain the following in both Russian and English: title of the work, author information (full name, academic degree, academic title, place of work or study, e-mail, phone number), abstract, keywords, bibliography.

References to literature (bibliographic references or footnotes) at the end of the article are mandatory.

The UDC must be placed at the top left of the page.

The article title and other headings should be centered.

Surname, first name, patronymic, academic degree, academic title, position, place of work or study, and e-mail are indicated after the article title.

Page settings:

Left – 3 cm.

Right – 2 cm.

Top – 2.5 cm.

Bottom – 2.5 cm.

Text formatting:

Font type - Times New Roman

Font size - 14 pt

Paragraph indent - 0.5 cm (set via the "Paragraph" settings, not by spaces or tabs)

Line spacing - 1.5

Table formatting:

Font type - Times New Roman

Font size - 13 pt

Outer borders (frame) - 1.5 pt

Inner borders - 0.75 pt

Formula formatting:

Use the formula editor.

All symbols - in italic font.

All numbers - in regular (upright) font.

Formatting references to literature:

Footnotes - with superscript in the text.

Placement at the end of the article - via the "Insert" menu, "Footnote" submenu. Font type - Times New Roman, font size - 13 pt.

References to literature (footnotes) are placed at the end of the article in accordance with GOST R 7.0.5-2008 "Bibliographic Reference. General Requirements and Rules of Compilation".

Font - Times New Roman, font size - 13 pt. Requirements for the reference list used in creating the scientific article – the number of sources should not be less than 10 (recommendatory in nature).

Scanned figures, graphs, diagrams, and other uneditable objects are prohibited!

Recommended manuscript length – 12-24 pages / 20-40 thousand characters including spaces.

The author's questionnaire must be included in the article file.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The manuscripts are accepted if has not been published or submitted for publication elsewhere.

  2. The materials should be prepared in a format OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or World Perfect.

  3. Internet links are provided as a complete URL. 

  4. Text should be typed with an interval of one and a half line spacing, font Times New Roman, 14 pt; to highlight the accents it is recommended to use italics rather than underlining (except Internet links). All images, graphics and tables are placed within the text according to the meaning of the particular part of text  (and not at the end of the document).

  5. Text should follow the stylistic and bibliography requirements as stated in  Regulations  located in the Part "About Us." 

  6. Please, remove the authors' names from the title of the article and other parts of the document to ensure the  anonymity of reviewing.
