Elena A. Kandrashina – Acting Rector of the Federal State Autonomous Educational Institution of Higher Education "Samara State University of Economics".

Elena A. Kandrashina was born in the city of Kuibyshev.

In 1995, Elena A. Kandrashina graduated from the Samara State Economic Academy with a degree in "Finance and Credit".

From 1995 to 1997, she studied full-time in postgraduate studies at the St. Petersburg State University of Economics and Finance. She defended her dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Economic Sciences (Ph.D.) at the same institution in 1997.

From 1998 to 2009, she worked successively as an Assistant, Senior Lecturer, Associate Professor, and Professor at the Department of World Economy and Management of the Samara Branch of the Moscow State University of Commerce (reorganized into the Samara Institute (Branch) of the Russian State Trade and Economics University).

In 2001, she graduated from the Samara State Economic Academy with a degree in "Jurisprudence".

In 2005, she defended her dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Economic Sciences at Samara State University of Economics.

In 2009, she moved to work at Samara State University of Economics at the newly formed Department of Applied Management as a Professor.

From 2011 to 2015, she held the position of Dean of the Master's Faculty of SSUE.

From 2019 to 2021 – Head of the Department for Regulatory Support of the University's Charter Activities, and from March 2021 – Vice-Rector for Administrative Work of the university.

Since November 2021 – Acting Rector of Samara State University of Economics.

Since June 2024 – Acting Rector of Samara State University of Economics.

Elena A. Kandrashina teaches students at all levels of higher education (Bachelor's, Master's, Postgraduate) and is actively engaged in research. As a result of her scientific work, she has published over 150 scientific works, including 6 monographs and 19 articles indexed in international and Russian bibliometric databases, as well as in journals from the "White List" and publications approved by the Higher Attestation Commission (VAK) of the Russian Ministry of Science and Higher Education. She is the author and co-author of 27 educational and methodological publications.

Elena A. Kandrashina is a member of the Dissertation Council for scientific specialties 5.2.1. "Economic Theory" and 5.2.4. "Finance", and is the Chairperson of the Dissertation Council for scientific specialties 5.2.3. "Regional and Sectoral Economics" and 5.2.6. "Management". Under her supervision, 5 dissertations for the degree of Candidate of Economic Sciences have been prepared and successfully defended.

Elena A. Kandrashina was a finalist in the "Science" track of the "Leaders of Russia" management competition in 2021.

In 2024, she became a laureate of the "Golden Names of Higher Education" competition in the nomination "For dedication to the profession and continuation of the traditions of Russian higher school."
